The staff at the Johnson’s Mills Shorebird Interpretive Center are already enjoying the spectacular aerial acrobatics of the 10,000 semi-palmated sandpipers that have arrived so far (as of July 24th)! We expect thousands more and will attract bird watchers/lovers and visitors from all over the world. It’s quite the sight to see, so come out and see for yourself!
If you’d like more information, contact the Nature Conservancy Center at 506-379-6347. The best time to view the birds is two hours before and after high tide. This is the schedule for July and August.
